Lachlan’s birthday – the big 8!!
We packed up camp in the national park and headed into Tathra. Stopped for breaky at the main beach so the boys could have a run on the playground. Josh went for a swim in the bay – beautiful little area with the wharf and old port building across the water. A quick cold shower while we were there and we headed off for Merimbula.
A young girl in the Mimosa campground had her birthday yesterday and they had spent the day at “Magic Mountain” a fun park with rides and waterslides which they highly recommended so we decided that would be perfect for a birthday adventure. It was a great day. Aim had the most fun of all and was super-competitive on the go-carts (mostly due to watching which cars were fastest and dashing for those when it was her turn).
We booked a motel with pretty much no space in any caravan parks. For his birthday dinner Lachlan chose Chinese and we walked down to a nice place on the water and had a great feast. Cammy mastered the chopsticks although his slow eating habit got even slower. A storm rolled in and we were happy to be staying at the motel. But it disappeared as quick as it came and we walked home dry.
